The BulletFlex Shirt is designed to be versatile, allowing you to insert standard soft armor NIJ Level I-IV plates. These include all standard sizes typically used in body armor. However, it's important to note that the higher the NIJ rating, the bulkier the plate will be. For maximum mobility and comfort, particularly with higher-rated plates, ensure you select a size that fits well within the shirt's compression pocket. We generally prefer to use Level IVA soft plates to maximize comfort and style.

While the BulletFlex compression shirt with plate pocket can technically accommodate an AR500 plate, we do not recommend it. Although the AR500 plate will fit into the sleeve, it will cause the shirt to sag and become excessively heavy, negatively impacting both comfort and functionality. For optimal performance, we suggest using lighter, more suitable plates designed specifically for use between Level I and IV.
